Art and animals have made my life. For over 30 years, I was a glass artist creating work for galleries and museums, and traveling to teach. I retired from glass and devoted myself to my first love, horses. Not being able to find specialized tack, I then took up leather work and produced not only tack for horses, but a wide assortment of leather products. While experimenting with pyrography (burning images) on leather, I was led to the world of gourds and the amazing work being done with them. Although I no longer work in leather, I continue to create art gourds as well as pastel paintings of animals.
